Each school year, the campus must develop, review, and revise the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP). The purpose of this plan is to improve student performance on the state’s student achievement indicators for all student populations, as well as improve performance on any other performance measures for special needs populations. The campus improvement plan is supportive of the objectives of the district.

The District Improvement Plan (DIP) is prepared annually in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 11, Subchapter F, of the Texas Education Code, specifically §11.251 and §11.252.
Each school district shall have a district improvement plan that is developed, evaluated, and revised annually, in accordance with district policy, by the Superintendent with the assistance of the district-level committee. The purpose of the district improvement plan is to guide district and campus staff on the improvement of student performance for all student groups, in order to attain state standards with respect to academic excellence indicators.

District of Innovation Plan

HB 1842 was passed during the 84th Texas Legislative Session. This bill provides Texas public school district the opportunity to be designated as Districts of Innovation. To access these flexibilities as school district must adopt a District of Innovation Plan. Once approved, the Innovation Plan is in effect for up to 5 years. -
ESSA, the Every Student Succeeds Act, provides federal funding to states and local educational agencies (LEAs) to improve education for all students, with a particular focus on those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The law offers various grant programs, including Title I, Part A, for school improvement and Title IV, Part A for student support and academic enrichment.

TEA SCHOOL REPORT CARD:
The school report card (SRC) combines accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to give a broad view of campus performance. Available for each campus in Texas, the SRC is intended specifically to inform parents and guardians about a school’s characteristics and its academic performance.
The school report card definitions, updated each year, explain several of the terms used in the SRC. The school report card definitions are also available in Spanish.

TEA TEXAS Academic Performance Reports
The Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) pull together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. Performance is shown disaggregated by student groups, including ethnicity and socioeconomic status. The reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff, programs, and student demographics.
